DEATH OF DAVID PERSONS OF WALNUT -
David Persons, brother-in-law of Mrs. Dr. Dailey, of Walnut, and a resident of that town for about a year, died suddenly at his Walnut home last night. He was about his home apparently in fine health yesterday. At 10 last night he went to bed, and shortly after called to his household that he was in severe pain in his abdomen. A physician was called at once, but, in spite of all that could be done, Mr. Persons died at midnight. The funeral will be arranged on reciept of news from Michigan.
Mr. Persons was born in Michigan seventy-four years ago. He removed from Plum City, Mich., to Walnut in 1910. He leaves a widow and several children in Walnut-William, Harry, Grace and Joseph. [Published in the "Pomona Daily Review," Pomona, California, Monday, February 12th, 1912, MDP, Page 1.]

FUNERAL OF DAVID PERSONS - Service To Be Held Saturday At 2:30 P.M. -
The funeral of David Persons, who died at his home in Walnut on Sunday evening, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Hanson funeral parlors, 151 East Second street.
Mr. Persons was born in Flushing, Mich., August 26th, 1838, and was the oldest of a family of six children. His parents were pioneers in the state of Michigan, hewing their farm out of the forests. After David was born, they moved to Flint, Mich. When a young man he went as a pioneer to Wisconsin and lived on a farm in that state for thirty years, coming to Walnut in November, 1910.
