LUSK, John Andrew of Temple. Age 66. Died 4/13/1964 (Monday) in a Temple hospital. He was in ill health for some time and became worse on Sunday. Services held (Sunday) at 7th Street Methodist Church. Burial in Bellwood Memorial Park, Temple. Rev. J. Lester Davenport, pastor of the church, officiated.
He was BORN 7/25/1897 at Salty near Thorndale and moved to Temple in 1920. Married Miss Oma Jordan in Belton 12/24/1930. He was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad on 5/2/1926. Served in various capacities in the signal department through the years and was made signal supervisor of the Southern Division on 9/22/1947. After more than 36 years of continuous service, he retired 12/21/1963. Member of above church, Masonic Lodge, Vashti Chapter 32, Order of Eastern Star, and Karem Shrine all of Temple.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Oma Lusk of Temple; son, John Andrew Lusk, Jr. in Japan; 2 sisters, Mrs. Edmund Shultz of Bellville, and Mrs. D.H. Rice of LaPlace, LA.
