LORAINE, Ill., March 27 -- Mrs. Eliza, wife of Charles W. Rust of this place, was called to rest from a life of pain, being afflicted a number of years. She was taken with acute stomach trouble, about five days prior to her decease, resulting in death about midnight Friday.

Mrs. Rust was the daughter of John Benson, and was born in Indiana, January 28, 1832, coming to Illinois with her parents in 1845.

She was married to C. W. Rust in August 1853, living near the place where she died during the time. She had suffered a great deal from a disease in her limbs.

Deceased was a member of Christian church, and was an excellent neighbor, respected by all who knew her.

Her funeral took place Sunday. Services were conducted by Reverend Williams of Canton, Missouri, at the Christian church. She was laid away in Loraine cemetery.
