Jessie Earl Burns, 83, of Winona died September 23 at Tyler Holmes Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was a retired blacksmith.
He was born in Montgomery County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Davis Burns, and was married to Nelia Bet Ingram, who preceded him in death.
He leaves several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church at 10 a.m. September 25 with the Reverends Tom Adams and H. B. Vinson officiating. Burial was in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Glynn Downs, Joe Don Dees, Billy Montgomery, Tommy Gene Blaylock, Thomas Crutchfield, and Barthol Garrett.
Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
