On the 3 March 1901, Thomas Harvey Creech married Delia Ann Dougharty (1883-1918), the daughter of Charlie Christopher Dougharty (1855-1934) and Emily King (1856-1900). Thomas and Delia had three children: Ray Evert Creech (1906-1976), Alexander Gilmer "A.G." Creech (1910-1985), and Aline Evelyn Creech (1914-?).

Thomas was a track foreman for the Railroad. On his World War I Draft Registration Card, which was filed on September 12, 1918, he is described as being short, medium build, with blue eyes and red hair--much like his son Alexander.

On the 29 December 1918, Thomas's wife, Delia, passed away from "Spanish flu." According to their headstone Brookeland Cemetery, Thomas died on the 22 December 1918. However, the Texas Death Index does not support this, but shows that he died on the 13 January 1920, which is more consistant with some family oral history that maintains that he died a couple of years after his Delia.

Following his death, Thomas three children were taken in and raised by his older brother William "Willie" Andrew Creech (1879-1943) and his wife Dassie Emily Dougharty (1880-1967), who did not have children of their own.
