On February 6, 1931, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Though he was rushed to the Lord Lister Hospital in Omaha, he died later that day. He was 68 years, 0 months and 12 days old at the time of his passing.
He had joined the Danish Brotherhood, and was an insurance solicitor for Arndt Insurance. There was money from the Brotherhood to pay for his funeral. Mrs. Harry Green, of Omaha, Nebraska, provided information to the doctor filling out the death certificate, and also paid $295 in cash to the funeral home.
