Sharon K. Anthony, 52, of Parkersburg passed away Nov. 19, 2004.

She was born Sept. 18, 1952, in Parkersburg, a daughter of Norma Lee Smith of Parkersburg and the late James William Smith.

Sharon was a wonderful mother and grandmother who dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She was very proud and supportive of her son Justin's military service and tour in South Korea and Iraq. She was very creative and enjoyed many crafts, including scrap booking with her sister, Tina. She was especially proud of her work with special needs infants and children throughout the state, where she nurtured many children on to healthy lives. She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1970 and attended West Virginia University at Parkersburg and Hocking Tech, majoring in nursing. She was employed by Interim Health Care.

Sharon is survived by son, Craig R. Marshall and wife, Tiffany D., of Mineral Wells; son, Joseph W. Marshall and wife, Jennifer, of Akron, Ohio; son, Shawn Michael Marshall and wife, Michelle, of Parkersburg; and son, Justin Anthony of Parkersburg. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Alaina Grace Marshall, Aaron Michael Marshall and Garrett Joseph Marshall; one brother, Lynn A. Smith and wife, Donna S., of Belpre; one sister, Tina S. Goontz and husband, James, of Parkersburg; niece, Nichole Smith; and nephews, J.D. Smith and Nathaniel McDougle.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Guy and Georgia Full, Howard Smith Sr. and Bonnie Smith and Carl and Iva Jane Dearth.

Funeral services will be noon Monday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, with the Rev. Jeff Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen North Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
