MARIE ANNE 'ANNA' (CHASSE)LOGAN
Mrs. Arthur Logan Sr.
A resident of Hazel Park since 1927, Mrs. Anna Logan age 66, 23131 Tawas, died Mar. 31 in the Highland Park General Hospital where she had been for eight hours. Mrs. Logan was born Sept. 4, 1896, in Saint Anns, Madawaska, New Brunswick, Canada. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Circle 791, D of I, Hazel Park; Hazel Park Unit 17, MOMS of America; and of the Auxiliary to Hazel Park Post 3140, VFW. She was one of the first members of St. Mary Magdalen Parish, Hazel Park, where she belonged to the Alter Society. Surviving are her husband, Arthur; seven children, Mrs. Dominic (Germaine) Tavalacci of Detroit; Maurice, Southfield; Arthur Jr., Ferndale; Mrs. George (Beatrice) Betrus, Southfield; Robert, 23842 Carlisle, Hazel Park; James, 1536 East Goulson, Hazel Park; Thomas, Royal Oak; 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. On April 3 there was rosary recitations by the Altar Society at 7 o'clock, the parish at 7:30 o'clock, Daughters of Isabella at 8 o'clock and Father Dolan Council 3170, K of C, Hazel Park, at 8:15 o'clock all at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R, Hazel Park. Prayers at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, April 4, at the funeral home preceded requiem mass at 9 a.m. in St. Mary Magdalen Church. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
