Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Linda Haines of Kokomo; one son Alan Haines; two stepsons, James Patterson, Byhalia, Miss., and Gerald Patterson, Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Paul Haines, Wabash; two sisters, Betty Dolan, Walkerton, and Doris Cattin, Peru; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were conducted June 21 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru. Pastor John Bartholomew officiated.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Thomas Reynolds Funeral Home, Byhalia, Miss.
