Evelyn McWilliams "Bit" Pierce
A homemaker and a resident of Brusly, she died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 71 and a native of Brusly. Visiting at Hall Davis & Son Funeral Home of Port Allen on Monday, Oct. 29, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Visiting continues at New Poplar Grove Baptist Church on Monday from 5 p.m. until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Dr. S.H. Freeman. Dismissal on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m., with interment in Israelite Baptist Church Cemetery in Brusly. She is survived by three daughters, Chandra Dural, Ethel Pierce and Julia P. Bryant; four sons, Darrell Pierce Sr., Kenneth Pierce Sr., Gary Pierce Sr. and Warren Pierce; five sisters, Earnestine Pierre, Lillie Martin, Annie Bell Woodfork, Yvonne Kent and Beulah LaMotte; two sisters-in-law, Emma Davis and Annie Mae Pierce; three brothers, Obie McWilliams, Charles McWilliams and Moses McWilliams; two brothers-in-law, Bishop George C. Pierce Sr. and Robert Davis; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Thompson. Arrangements by Hall Davis & Son Funeral Service.
