DROPS DEAD WHILE TUNING RADIO
Gasport Man Employed Lockport Corporation
LOCKPORT, July 16 - While sitting with his wife and children in the living room of his Gasport home last evening, tuning in on a radio program, David A. Knox, 32, of the personnel department of the Harrison Radiator corporation, suddenly slumped over in his chair, succumbing instantly to heart disease. Dr. P.A. Kittinger, coroner, issued a certificate of death.
Born at Turtle Creek, Pa., July 18, 1903. Mr. Knox had resided at 36 Hyde Park until six months ago, when they removed to Gasport. He had been employed by the Harrison company the past 12 years. He was a member of Lockport Lodge, 73, F. and A.M., the Olcott Yacht club and All Saints chapel.
Surviving are his widow, Beatrice G. Knox, and two sons, Bruce and Norman, at home, two brothers and four sisters, Earl, Clarence, Mrs. J.C. Heacox, Mrs. Harold Smillie and Mrs. Edward Ocsher, all of Lockport, and Mrs. Edward P. Green, of Walmerding, Pa.
Services will be held at the Prudden funeral home, 242 Genesee street, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Cold Springs cemetery.
