Funeral services were held today (Monday) at the Mayhew Funeral Home for Jefferson Garrett, age 92 of Vine Street, who died Saturday at his home.
He was a retired employee of the Cambrian Packing Company, a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a WWII U. S. Navy veteran.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late John and Louise VanFossan Garrett. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Murble Leach Garrett.
Survivors include a brother, John, of Jackson.
Rev. Wendell Vermillion officiated the last rites. Burial was made in Fairmount Cemetery.
