David was a graduate of Ririe High School, served in the army in Vietnam, and was a captain in Idaho National guard. On June 20, 1963, he married Cheryl Ann Byington in Pocatello then moved to Idaho Falls. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he also enjoyed reloading, shooting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling, and chasing grandkids. He was an innovator and President and co-owner of Atlas Mechanical and a member of the state plumbing board. Survivors beside his loving wife included: daughters Leslie (Kelly) Ovard of Idaho Falls, Kandace (Paul) Legere of Sun Lakes, AZ, Melissa (Greg) Johnson of Idaho Falls, Rachelle (Russ) Pearson of Fairfield, MT, and Wendy (Noal) Park of Meridian, ID; sons Greg (Becky) Park of Idaho Falls and Jeff (Marina) Park of Irwin; sister Bernice (Merlin, deceased) Hill of Ririe; and brother Ken (Alice) Park of Ammon; and 28 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services held Saturday, March 13th at Shelley Sand Creek Ward Chapel. Counselor Aaron Christensen officiated. Military Rites performed by Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
