Brandon Hope Shapard was graduated from Powell Training School, Dallas, Texas, and Southern Methodist College of Dallas, and the law department of the University of Texas, taking his degree Bachelor of Law in 1926, after which he took a special course in law in the University of Colorado. He volunteered at the age of eighteen in the U.S. Navy, and was stationed at San Diego, California, at the close of the war. At present he is identified with the prominent law firm of Thomas, Pope, & Shapard, one of the leading ones of this section. He married Louis Hughes Pierson 30 Sep 1936 in Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas
