Mitchell George Zampikos, 85, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2007 with his family by his side. He was a loving and supportive, father and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

Mitchell proudly served his country as a Captain of "George" Co. with the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Texas A&I University as valedictorian with a Bachelor of Science degree. He worked for Otis Engineering for many years and retired as Vice President of Foreign Affairs.

He was a founding member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Mitchell was selfless and gave every bit of himself and what he had to those he loved. He was a pillar of strength, optimistic, and never complained even when he was suffering.

Mitchell is preceded in death by his wife Betty Zampikos.

Visitation and a Trisagion service were held at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Burial followed at Seaside Memorial Park.
