Casey Drummond, 80, of Bagley, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 24, 2007. He passed away peacefully in his home with family and friends. He and his wife, Jeral Dean, had just celebrated 59 years of marriage. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, March 27, at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home with burial in McCormack Cemetery. Rev. Don Westbrook and Rev. Jack Thorn will officiate. New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Casey was born on July 14, 1926 to George and Bernice (Allums) Drummond of Bagley. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army in the 11th Airborne Division. He was retired from U.S. Steel after 35 years. After retirement his love for farming became his hobby. He was a member of Sumiton First Assembly of God. He also had many friends in Christ at Empire Assembly of God, which he helped establish. He was also devoted in assisting his wife's ministry.
His loving memories will be cherished by his wife, Jeral Dean Drummond; sons, Phillip Lynn Drummond and David Earl Drummond and his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Andrea Drummond Key and her husband, Philip. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Casey L. Drummond, Cassandra Drummond Mathews and her husband, Marcus; Brandon Drummond and his wife, Della; Jeremy Drummond, Abigail Key and Alexander Key; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Drummond, Shannon Drummond and his wife, Betty, and Billy Drummond and his wife, Earline; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
