She was born in Carlisle the daughter of the late Abram and Grace (Freeborn) Bosler.
Mary was a 1942 graduate of Cerlisle High School and attende Dickinson College. She left Dickinson College after one year and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and was stationed at the military hospital on Ellis Island, NY from 1943 until the war ended.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Carlisle and the Woman's International Club in Washington, D.C., Amsterdam, Denmark, Thailand, Copenhagen and London. Mary was formerly active with the Audubon Society and the Humanitarian Society.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Lum and two brothers, George and Abram Bosler.
Mary is survived by her husband of 35 years and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held in the St. John's Episcopal Church, on the Square in Carlisle. Burial was at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
