One of several children born to Alex and Georgia McCree Lowe. In 1930, she married Harvey H. Hopson who preceded her in death. She and Harvey resided in Atlanta where she was employed for many years as a educator with the Atlanta Public School System. She also was a faithful member of Atlanta's Wheat Street Baptist Church.
