George W. Burke, for the past 20 years a
resident of this vicinity died at his home
at O'Brien last Monday, August 19, 1918,
evening.Mr. Burke had been in poor health
health for the past year and tne end came
on Monday.
Deceased was born in Virginia in 1856 and
together with his family moved to Kent 28
yyars ago, where he was raised continuously
ever since. Mr. Burke was known to all the old
timers and had a large large number of friends
throughout the valley.
Besides the widow, he leaves the widow, he
leaves three sons and three daughters. They
are Claude, Hugh, Howard, Mrs. Anna Kaber,
Miss. Kate and Mrs.John Bridges of Riverton.
Funeral services were conducted from
Chittenden's chapel last Wednesday and
the remains were intered in the Kent cemetery.
