Sebring, Fla – Mildred Shepard Axtell, 86, of Sebring, formerly of Erie, died at her home Saturday, April 1, 1995.
Born in Erie, Mrs. Axtell was a retired schoolteacher, having taught at Wattsburg Area High School. She had lived in Florida since 1976.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Erie and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors include two daughters, Laurel J. Bihler of Tacoma, Washington and Karen R. Malina of Erie; a son, A. E. Axtell Jr. of Williamsburg, Virginia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband Albert.
Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, 2501 Fairmount Drive, Sebring, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
