He is best known to many as a member of Frank Sinatra's "Rat Pack", including Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr and Peter Lawford, starring in such films as the original, "Ocean's Eleven" (1960) and "Sergeants Three" (1961). After starting his career as a stand up comedian during the 1940s performing in front of live audiences, Bishop would gradually appear regularly on various television programs including, "The Toast of the Town", "What's My Line?", "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" and "The Hollywood Squares".
