John Galloway, Clarke County, Died Yesterday

Word was received in this city late yesterday evening of the death of John Thomas Galloway, lifelong resident of Clarke County, who died Thursday noon at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.Cleveland Pierce, on the Audley Farm estate. The deceased was approximately 82 years old and had spent the greater part of his life in the Berryville section of Clarke County where he was known by all to be a good man.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Nannie Johnson, and the following children: Mrs. Evelyn Longerbeam, of Berryville; Mrs. Viola Pierce, of Clarke County; Mrs. Katie Hensler, of Martinsburg, W. Va.; James William Galloway, of Berryville. Fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. His parents, James William Galloway and Elizabeth Wyndham Galloway, also of Clarke County, have been dead for a great many years.
Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
