Ennis E. "Sarge" Boatman
Ennis E. Boatman, 54, a Montgomery native, died June 29, 1990, at University Medical Center in Jackson, from complications following heart bypass surgery.
Mr. Boatman, retired from the United States Air Force, was a veteran of both Korea and Vietnam, and was a member of VFW Post 4488 in Grenada. He was also the owner of B&S Radio/TV Repair, located in Grenada.
Survivors include his wife, Mary B. Collins Boatman of Grenada; two sons, Ennis E. "Sonny" Boatman, and Ronnie Boatman, both of Grenada; two sisters, Vera Bain, and Shirley Crosby, both of Jackson; two brothers, O.O. Boatman of Jackson and Rocky Wade Boatman of the U.S. Army, stationed in Turkey; and two grandchildren.
The Rev. David Manasco officiated at the funeral held in the chapel of Oliver Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July l. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery with graveside military rites.
Pallbearers were the Military Honor Guard from the VFW Post 4488, Grenada.
Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
