Joseph was the son of John Floyd Brohard and Eliza Jane Jelley.
He married to Mary Tennant.

J. M. BROHARD PASSES AWAY
Retired School Teacher of Ray Dies Sunday
J. Morris Brohard, 70 retired school teacher and farmer of Ray R. D. 1 was found dead in his bed Sunday morning at his home. He had been ill for the past three weeks.
A son of the late John and Ella Jelly Brohard, he was born May 26, 1884 in Jackson county. He was a member of the Savageville Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Tennant Brohard, seven children, Malcolm of Westerville, Mrs. Helen Goodrich of Oxnard, Calif., Norman of Dayton, Mrs. Dorothy Remy of Columubs, Mrs. Wilma Wortman of Chillicothe, Eugene of Columbus, and John of Richmondale; 16 grandchildren; and a brother, Charles of Ray R. D. 1.
The body was removed to the Plummer Funeral Home where friends may call after Tuesday noon. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m.at the Savageville Church in charge of Rev. Frank Harding. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
