Fannie David was born to Shed and Nannie Taylor in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was the eleventh child of thirteen. Fannie attended public school at Chickasha and was a graduate of Lincoln High School there.

At an early age she confessed a hope in Christ Jesus and was baptized.

After moving to Oklahoma City, she became a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and later, became a member of the Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, were she was an active member of the Women's Missionary Union. She was a member of the Naomi Circle and once held the office of Mission Active Chairperson in the WMU. She was a Deaconess and held the office of Treasurer in that group.

Fannie was a member of the Lillie of the Valley Chapter #7 order of the Eastern Star, and Amicae of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., a member of Dorcas Community Club and the Seven Couple Group.

She was united to Arque Neal Davis on October 11, 1953.

She departed this life November 27, 1985 and leaving to cherish her memory devoted husband, Arque Davis; 5 daughters, Velva L. Davis of Pasadena, CA, Geraldine L. Anderson and Alva L. Thomas of Oklahoma City, Norva G. Fowler of Pasadena, CA, and Charlene L. O'Neal of Colorado Spring, Co; 2 sons, Wilferd E. Davis of Altadena, CA and Alfred W. Davis of Dallas, TX; 2 sisters, Nellie Pruitt of Webster Groves, Missouri, Beulah Fields of Oklahoma City, OK and 1 brother, Sammie Taylor of Oklahoma City, OK , grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous relatives and friends.

Service under the direction of Rolfe Funeral Home. Funeral service was held Saturday, November 30, 1985 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church. Rev. T. H. Hubbard Officiating. Interment at Trice Hill Cemetery.
