Lois was born June 14, 1942 in Oakland, Nebraska to Harold and Irene Voskamp. She graduated from Fremont, Nebraska High School in 1959 then continued her education for 1 year at Midland University.
She met Tom Wachter at a dance in Beemer, Nebraska, and the couple were married in 1962. They were blessed with three children.
Lois worked for Mutual of Omaha for several years and retired from there in 1996 after a terrible car accident made it so she could no longer work.
Lois Margaret Wachter, 78 of Blair, Nebraska, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday January 30, 2021 at Crowell Memorial Home.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Terri Beck, sons Scott (Helen) Wachter and Todd (Stacy) Wachter, all of Blair, Nebraska; grandchildren: Jessica Beck, Mary Beck, Katie (Brendan) Ring, Jacob Wachter, Cheyenne (Jacob) Jones, Noel Wachter, Gabriel Wachter, Shelby Wachter, Nate Wachter, Colin Sargent, Ty Sargent, Mason Sargent and Gianna Perez; sister Kathy Voskamp, aunt Reanne Forsberg and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, parents Harold and Irene Voskamp, in-laws Jack and Lorraine Wachter and brother Harold Dean Voskamp.
The service for Lois Wachter has been scheduled for Thursday, February 4, 10:00 am, at PassageWay Church.
Visitation will be held at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 3, 1:00-8:00 pm, with family present from 6:00-8:00 pm.
