Longtime Herman resident
Tom Wachter, 67, of Herman, Nebraska, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 25, at Country Bible Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery.
Tom Wachter was born on July 8, 1942, in Omaha to Jack and Lorraine (Flake) Wachter. He attended the Thone Elementary School and graduated from Herman High School in 1960.
On Oct. 28, 1962, he married Lois Voskamp in Fremont.
For most of his life he lived in Herman. He worked for Kelly Ryan Manufacturing as a sales representative for 41 years. He was a member of the Herman Community Church, Herman Masonic Lodge, and Herman Fire and Rescue Squad.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; daughter, Terri Beck of Fremont, sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Nicole Wachter of Herman, and Todd and Stacy Wachter of Blair; nine grandchildren; brother, Gary Wachter of Blair; sister and brother-in-law, Lorita and Gus Whitehead of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
