John married Judith Winslow on April 12, 1688 in Taunton, Bristol county, Plymouth Colony. Judith was the daughter of John and Judith, nee Smith, Winslow. They had children:

Note: The Bridgewater Historical Commission sent a letter dated September 6, 1994 in response to a letter from the Curator of American Decorative Arts and Sculpture at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and stated that, yes, the town would like the headstone returned. The letter states that the gravestone will be returned to it's proper location. That has not happened, yet.
