| Birth: | Jun. 4, 1908 | | Death: | Sep. 18, 1931 | Geli Raubal was the daughter of Hitler's half-sister Angela. Hitler fell in love with Geli in 1929 when she came to live as his ward in Munich. He was extremely jealous, and attempted to shut her away from society. She consequently committed suicide by shooting herself in the heart with Hitler's pistol. Some period sources said that Hitler never really recovered from this, and in spite of his long-time relationship with Eva Braun (q.v.), Geli was the only woman he ever really loved. Geli's grave is now unmarked, but some sources say the original grave marker still exists in an undisclosed location in the Zentralfriedhof.
