If you are related to or researching this family, I'd really like to hear from you.
Wife of Daniel Jones, Buried April 22, 1873
Techinally speaking, if you search for a map online, Claiborne County, Tennessee was taken from Grainger County and sometime in 1794, it was called Indian Lands on the map. That does NOT mean however Elizabeth was of Indian heritage. Remember the Starr and Jackson families were hunters and trappers. We only have read from census, history books etc that Elizabeth's parents were born in Pennsylvania, Elizabeth was born in Tennessee, the 'family' resided in Clinton County, Ohio where brothers William Starr married Lydia Jackson and Richard Starr married her sister, Sarah Jackson, daughters of Samuel Jackson, then the Starr's returned back to Tennessee. After the 1845 death of William Starr in Hardin County, Tennessee, Lydia moved to Texas with her chidren, Richard Starr and his family also moved along with others. They were found in the 1850 Harrison County, Texas census.
