Mr. Andes was a native of the Amberly neighborhood, where he was born about 65 years ago. He went West many years ago, where he became a resident of Iowa, but returned to this county seven or eight years ago and had made his home ever since near Amberly. He was twice married. His first wife was a Miss Nisewander. His second wife, who survives him, was Miss Sallie Miller. In addition to his wife he leaves four sons: Frederick, who lives at home; Samuel and Isaac, of Iowa; and Charles, who is a resident of Canada. He also leaves two brothers: Jacob Andes, of Augusta county; and Perry Andes, who lives in the West and three sisters Mrs. David Benneman and Mrs. Cromer, of Augusta county; and Mrs. Jones, whose home is in the West.
