Enid grew up in Ammon and met Duane Harris Burtenshaw at Ricks College in Rexburg. They were married in Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 28, 1955. They lived in Ucon for a few years, then the family moved to the farm on Fairview Road where there was space to spread out and have animals. She loved her family and living and working on the farm. She also enjoyed reading, traveling, sewing, gardening, cross-stitching, quilting, and other handiwork. Enid completed her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) training and worked in Infant Delivery at Idaho Falls Hospital and other medical offices in Idaho Falls. In recent years, she loved connecting with family and friends on Facebook and downloading books to read from the library on her iPad. Enid has a testimony of Jesus Christ and has been active all of her life in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, participating in Primary, Mutual, Young Women, and Relief Society. She and Duane served as missionaries for five seasons at West Piney Girls Recreational Camp near Swan Valley. She liked to travel, and Duane loved Arizona! For over 35 years, they snowbirded in Apache Junction, AZ. Survivors beside Duane included: children Julie (Dan) Hammon, Paula (Matthew) Light, Ann Lyman, Jesse and Becky (Kirk) Buer; 11 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren; brother Dennis Joel (Carol) Stout; sister-in-law Maxine Long Black and brother-in-law Christopher Lefteroff; preceded by sister Janice Mae Black Lefteroff.
