Jerome Whitney, native of Oregon, passed away Saturday morning following an
illness of about five weeks. Mr. Whitney had been working in Merrill for a few
months before becoming sick. He is survived by his wife Emma Whitney and seven
children; Chester, Alfred, Vernal, Holly, Clara and George Whitney of
Brownsville, Oregon, three sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Rose Lolfand, and Mrs.
Anna Blanton of Medford, Ore., Mrs. Caroline Ball of Glendale, Calif., John and
Perry Whitney of Merrill.
Services will be held from Merrill Presbyterian Church, 2:00 p.m. Wednesy with
Rev. Stanley Jewell officiating.
The remains rest in the Earl Whitlock Funeral home, Pine avenue at Sixth
street.
