Georgia Lee Diaz, 59, of Ririe Idaho, peacefully passed away at her home on December 16, 2020. Georgia was born on May 25th, 1961 in Dillon, Montana to Jack and Billie Meine. She was blessed to have 6 siblings to be raised with. She was raised in Ririe, Idaho and she graduated from Ririe High school.
After graduation she worked in the food industry where she met the love of her life Hector Diaz. They were married on March 9th, 1984. They raised 3 beautiful daughters who then blessed her with 8 grandchildren. Georgia loved her family most. She would do whatever it takes to make sure that her children and grandchildren’s needs and wants were always met. When asked what her favorite thing to do was, she would reply “play with my grandkids.” She loved to be with them, watch football with them, watch them dance, hear them sing, play musical instruments, play sports, color, and play with toys on her floor.
Georgia had a long-term career with Ririe School district where she worked as a custodian of the schools. She influenced so many in the schools as they saw her beautiful uplifting smile and positive attitude.
Georgia was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved Jesus Christ with all her heart. She served in many callings for the church including, primary, librarian, choir director, and in the Relief Society.
Georgia loved watching football and she was an avid BYU fan. One of her favorite things to do was to go out to eat with her family. She loved music. She loved gathering with her family for birthdays, BBQ’s, and just because.
