Composer. She was considered one of the most notable Spanish composers of stage and vocal music. After studying piano and guitar, Salvador made her 1933 debut in Valencia with her musical composition "Com és la Lluna." She won fame throughout Europe for her operas and cantatas, such as "La Filla del Rei Barbut," "Vinatea," "Retablo de Navidad" and "Les Hores." She also wrote many choral settings of religious texts such as "Missa de Lledó" and "Mujeres de Jerusalén" and two ballets "El Segoviano Esquivo" and "Sortilegio de la Luna." Salvador was awarded the prestigious Joaquín Rodrigo Prize in 1967 and 1973, and the following year she became the first woman to have an opera performed at the Liceu of Barcelona. In her last years she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Valencian government.
