Birth: 1880
Death: 1967
West Plains
Howell County
Missouri, USA

Aunt Mag like to chew tabbaco. The story was told to me by my mother. The first time my mother met Aunt Mag was in the late 1950's. The women in the family did not smoke or chew. My mother "Joanie" being from the western U.S. asked if it would be ok if she smoked a cigarette. Aunt Mag slapped her on the back, kicked open the wood stove door, spit, shut it, in one swift movement and said; "Honey you smoke em and I'll chew em." She took a lik'n to Joanie. She was known to be very outspoken with her oppinions which was not taken too foundly by the men of the area. Later in life she liked to sit in her rocker and rock.
