Joshua Critchfield born in Livingston County, Missouri, April 4, 1852. Married to Angeline O'Keef September 11, 1876.Thirteen children were born to the union and all were present at the funeral except one. There were six boys and seven girls, all living, and all residing at Edmond but three.Deceased moved from Kansas to Oklahoma in 1901, lived at Wellston, until about two years ago, when he moved to Edmond. He always had good health, and worked hard all his life to maintain his family and educate them. Last August he took sick and after a few days of sickness, got up and was about for a few days, and then relapsed, from which he was never able to recover.He peacefully passed away Nov. 16th at his home at 8:45. During his long seize of illness (sickness) he never complained, he was pleasant with everything the family did for him, and said, "I AM READY AND WILLING TO GO ONLY ONE REGRET I DO NOT LIKE TO LEAVE MY FAMILY." He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Funeral was held at the deceased's home Nov. 18th and buried at Grace Lawn Cemetery, quite a large crowd was in attendance at the funeral. Mrs. Ogleene lead the singing, Evangelist Henry L. Joshua was born to Hiram and Sarah Coats Critchfield and
his first son was Ira Critchfield and his Mother was Martha Gill who died in Missouri when Ira was very young.
