Served during the Boxer Rebellion in the Chinese Relief Expedition as a Landsman in the United States Navy. He was warded the CMOH for his bravery in June 1900. His citation reads "In action with the relief expedition of the Allied forces in China, 13, 20, 21 and 22 June 1900. During this period and in the presence of the enemy, Killackey distinguished himself by meritorious conduct". His Medal was issued July 19, 1901. (bio by: Russ Dodge)
