Irene M.E. Bollinger, 92, formerly of Palmerton, died Sunday, May 3, in Weatherwood, Weatherly. She was the wife of the late John A. Bollinger.
Born in Lower Towamensing Township, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Cora (Green) Eckhart. She was a member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville.
Survivors: Daughters, Mrs. Violet Eck, Mrs. Eva Larsen and Evelyn, wife of Steward Nonnemacher, all of Dover, Del., Mrs. Helen Snyder of Palmerton and Doris, wife of Lawrence Wheeler of Albrightsvine; sons, Herman, Walter and Clark, all of Palmerton, Martin of Lehighton and Morris of Nazareth; sisters, Mrs. Arlene Kresge of Kunkletown, and Elsie, wife of Harvey Andrews, Carrie, wife of Burton Wentz, and Mrs. Beatrice Smith, all of Palmerton, 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Alvin, Earl and Neal.
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
