She murdered her lover, David Blakeney, a racing car driver. Executed at Holloway (Women's) prison in London. The last woman to be executed in Britain. According to an article authored by Thomas L. Jones from the Crime Library website, Ruth Ellis was reinterred from the prison to her present resting place at St. Mary's Parish, Amersham, Buckinghamshire. She was buried under the name of Ruth Hornby to preserve anonymity.
