Mary Emma "Mae Emma" Dunbar
A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Woodville, Miss., she died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at her daughter's home in Baton Rouge. She was 87. Visiting at King Emmanuel Baptist Church, Woodville, on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Nathaniel Nelson. Interment in Dunbar Cemetery, Woodville. Survived by her husband, Howard Dunbar Sr.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pearlina Hoy, Harristena and Amos Harrison, of Baton Rouge and Nancy and Sammuel Grimes, of Dallas; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Howard Jr. and May Ann Dunbar, James and Lydia Dunbar and Oscar and Eloise Dunbar; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Celeste Price, of Woodville, and Patricia and Wilbert Bailey, of Luling; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Emma Armstrong and Louis and Thelma Armstrong, all of New Orleans, Charlie and Juanita Armstrong, of Woodville, and Earnest and Alpha Young, of Baton Rouge; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Services entrusted to Desselle Funeral Home.
