Gertrude Bowen Carter, 93, of of Clinton, Ms went to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness at Willow Creek Retirement Center, Byram, MS. She was born December 18, 1913 in Poinsett County, Arkansas. visitation will be Sunday 11-12:00 Noon at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with 1:00 P.M. graveside services to follow at Bassett Cemetery in Bassett, AR. She was a member of South side Assembly of God Church in Jackson, MS. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 1.She is survived by two daughters, Joan Bowen Smith of Clinton, MS and Peggy Bowen &(Mark) Simmons of Belzoni, MS, Two sons, Dan & (Anne) Bowen of Brandon, MS and Jim and (Kenny) Bowen of Bartlett, TN. Twelve grandchildren and twenty- two great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, 2500 North State St. Jackson, MS 39216
