Lloyd was born near Herman, Nebraska February 22, 1901 to Lee R. and Bessie (Booke) Fletcher.

On June 11, 1924 he was married to Grace Wilson in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They were blessed with 3 children.

Both he and his wife were very involved with the Masons and Order of the Eastern Star.

Fletcher was born February 22, 1901, near Herman. He lived with his family in Beatrice, Nebraska and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1965.

He was employed with the Union Pacific Railroad for 45 years and, at his retirement in 1966, he was an engineer.

Graveside services for Lloyd R. Fletcher, 84, of Lincoln, Nebraska, who died Friday, October 4, 1985, in Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, will be Tuesday, October 8, at 11 a.m. in Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Grace of Lincoln; two sons, Lester and Dean, both of Lincoln; one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Ione) Parker of Denver, Colorado; one brother, Don of Whitehall, Montana; seven sisters, Alma Coerner of Miles City, Montana, Ruth Brant of Absarokee, Montana, Minnie Ogletree of Bend, Oregon, Bernice Eaton of Yakima, Washington, Myrtle Taylor of LA Mesa, California, Olive Birch of St. Louis, Missouri, and Jean Barber of Lewiston, Montana; and four grandchildren.

The Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel of Beatrice is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Fund with the mortuary.
