On November 2, 1899, she was married to Floyd Van Valin in Tekamah, Nebraska. He was the son of James and Alice (Bennett) Van Valin.
In 1900, she was living with her husband and her widowed mother in Herman, Nebraska. The 1900 US Census lists:

In 1920, she and Floyd were living at 108 S. 53rd St. in Omaha, Nebraska. Floyd was working in real estate.
Floyd died October 8, 1940 in Yankton, South Dakota. He is buried in Herman, Nebraska.

Former Herman Woman Died
Mrs. Iredale Van Valin, a former resident of Herman and operator of a grocery store there, died December 23rd at Snohomish, Washington. The Enterprise is informed Mrs. Van Valin was 86 years old.
She is survived by a son, Frederick. Interment was made at Tekamah, Nebraska.

Mrs. Van Valin Dies In Washington
Mrs. Iredale Van Valin, 86, of Snohomish, Washington, passed away in the Monroe hospital on December 23rd. Memorial services were held at the St. John’s Episcopal Church on December 26th. Cremation was directed by Purdy and Dawson Funeral Home at Snohomish. Interment was made at Tekamah.
Mrs. Van Valin was a native of Tekamah. She graduated from the University of Nebraska. In 1928 she moved to Seattle and was a member of the Eastern star at that place. For the past ten years she resided in Snohomish.
A son, C. F. Van Valin of Snohomish, Washington survives.
