Funeral services for Edwin Ju-
lius Hoyord, town of Scandina-
via, Waupaca county, will be
held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at Our
Savior's Lutheran church at Ben-
son Corners. Rev. George Orvick
will officiate and burial will take
place in the parish cemetery.
The body is at the Swenson fu-
neral home at Iola.
Mr. Hoyord, 83, died at the
Iola hospital early Friday morn-
ing. He had been ill for a month.
A former treasurer and clerk
of the Bestul school district, Mr.
Hoyard had lived all of his life
in the town of Scandinavia. He
was born there on July 24, 1870,
a son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Ole Hoyard. On June 15, 1909,
he married Clara Sophia Nelson
at Mayville, N. D.
Survivors include his wife;
three sons, Lenwick of Iola and
Allen and Vernon, at home;
three daughters, Mrs. Laura Ol-
son, at home, Mrs. M. O. Dale,
Holton, Mich., and Miss Vesta
Hoyord of Iola; seven grandchil-
dren and one brother, Alfred C.
Hoyord of the town of New
Hope.
