Brother Alger suffered a long time, having contracted the disease which terminated his life in the army of the rebellion. But he seemed to bear it with Christian resignation and patience. A few days before his death he told us he had given all to the Lord. He was a member of the United Bretheren Church nearly twenty years. He has gone home we trust, to rest with the Savior."
