Charlene Mae Hill
(May 28, 1927 - May 31, 2016)
Charlene Mae Hill daughter of the late Pearl Woods Martin and Charles Ross Abernathy was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 28, 1927. She departed this life at Maplewood Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Springfield, Missouri, on May 31, 2016, at the age of 89.
In 1944 Charlene was united in marriage to Frank Lee Hill and to this loving union two sons were born. Charlene was saved and baptized at the Centerville First Baptist Church. She spent many years as the Reynolds County Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Deeds. Charlene loved going fishing, cooking and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Charlene was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Pearl and Amel Martin, her father, Charles Abernathy, one son, David Lee Hill, two brothers, Doyle Martin and Andy Martin, and one sister, Imo Sanzottera.
Charlene is survived by one son, Michael Hill and wife Rhonda of Blue Eye, Missouri, seven grandchildren, David Hill Jr., Scott Hill, Danny Allen Hill, Todd Leonard, Tracey Harris, Dale Hill and Rusti Skidmore, 21 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, her daughter-in-law, Thelma Hill of Branson, Missouri, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Charlene will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Visitation: Friday June 3rd Noon at McSpadden Funeral Home
Funeral Services will follow at 3 PM

Burial: West Fork Sutterfield Cemetery
Pallbearers: Rick Martin, Rocky Martin, Brad Skidmore, Davey Hill, Danny Hill and Josiah Hill.
