WATER VALLEY, MISS. - Estes Leroy Dye, 72, retired cattle farmer and employee of Kimberly-Clark in Memphis, died of cancer Monday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce with burial in Bruce Cemetery. He was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran and a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church and Frazier Masonic Lodge. Mr. Dye, the husband of Mattie Laverne Tallent Dye, also leaves two daughters, Gene Dye Hargett of Water Valley and Nell Dye Montgomery of Millington, Tenn.; two sons, Jerry L. Dye of Hernando and Henry E. Dye of Millington; four sisters, Marie Norman of Southaven, Delane Hayles of Memphis, Dorothy Lyles of Coffeeville and Ruth Duke of Horn Lake; a brother, Paul W. Dye of Batesville, 11 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. (Published in The Commercial Appeal 6-4-1996)

Mr. Dye was interred in Bruce Cemetery but later move to Northridge-Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington, TN.
