William "Bill" Langston, 89, of Wildwood died on Sunday, February 14, 2010, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Bill was born in Village Mills, Texas on June 10, 1920, to William Arthur "Pat" and Nettie Rosetta Langston, Sr. Bill retired as a deputy from the Hardin County Sheriff's Department and also served as Constable for Precinct 3 in Hardin County for sixteen years. He also worked for Unocal for thirty years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
Bill is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Pat Langston of Wildwood; son, Jack Langston and his wife Harriett of Village Mills; step-daughters, Lori Parker of Honey Island and Sherry Denise Nowlin of Kountze; step-son, Alan Maynard of Kountze; thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Broussard's in Kountze. Burial will follow at Holland Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 15, 2010, at Broussard's.
