Mrs. Swinney of Rye, Arkansas was born a daughter of the late Carl Byrd and Maggie Yarbrough Byrd. She was a homemaker, a member of the Enon Missionary Baptist Church and choir and an Enon Sunday school teacher. She was the widow of J. J. Swinney who died November 19, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a brother Floyd Byrd and a sister Ruby Wood. Mrs. Swinney died at Wagnon Place Nursing Home at age 86.
